About Valter

Valter is a lifetime culinary artist and expert restaurateur whose life’s story takes him from Monte San Savino, Italy (his childhood home) to Salt lake City, Utah. There, he serves personalized Tuscan-Italian cuisine at his restaurant, Valter’s Osteria. The journey in-between includes restaurant experiences at Porto Cervo, Gastaad, The International Club in Nairobi, Il Nido and Castellano’s in New York City. His move to Salt Lake City coincides with the city’s restaurant revolution, and one might say he helped make that transformation possible.
